On Wednesday, February 18, 2015 the Coconino County Public Works held a meeting at Pinewood Fire Department to discuss plans to repair Munds Wash Bridge and Pinewood Boulevard. These repairs will be among the first funded through proposition 403 which passed back in November of 2014. Repairs being made to Munds Wash Bridge will include replacing deck on existing girders, replacing the railing and adding an additional guard rail on approach side of bridge. While Pinewood Blvd. will have the existing road milled and a new 4″ of asphalt will overlay the new subgrade, there will also be limited curb and gutter replacement primarily in the commercial area. During construction Pinewood Blvd. will remain open but will be reduced to one way traffic with flaggers or temporary traffic signals where construction is present. Right now the project is scheduled to begin between April and May 2015 as long as weather permits and has a preliminary cost of 3.5 million. Also mentioned in the presentation were minor repairs to the path thats along Pinewood Blvd. as well as plans to chip seal in the summer of 2017 along with other roads in Munds Park.
