On September 5, 2015 the Pinewood Fire department along with the help of its Auxiliary held its first open house. The open house was a chance for the community to come to the fire station and get tours of the station, apparatus, along with having questions answered about day to day operations. Also at this event was the United Blood Service which reached 96% of their goal for donated blood in the Munds Park Community. As a whole, this event was a major success and raised over a one thousand dollars for the fire department which will help to continue to provide programs like this to the community.
